Nine Event Timer - The ET9 Pattern Controller is a microprocessor based nine event timer to control glue gap or stitch adhesive patterns at fixed line speeds. The ET9 accepts two trigger inputs and provides power output to four independent applicator head groups. Nine pattern setups can be stored in memory when power is off.
When integrated into a Slautterback hotmelt applicator system, the ET9 controls adhesive deposition in a wide variety of fixed speed product assembly and packaging applications. Typical applications include carton and case sealing, pallet load stabilization, cap lining and labeling.
The ET9 functions according to a programmed pattern setup. A pattern setup corresponds to the adhesive deposition of up to four head groups required for a specific application. The setup contains the timing sequence of up to nine glue or gap events per head group. Glue events may be stitched, resulting in pattern versatility and adhesive savings.
The ET9 controls up to four independent adhesive applicator head groups. A head group consists of one to four E100 or ML400 style valves, or up to sixteen E900TM style valves. Input signals trigger the ET9 to activate the pattern setup, transmitting output power to the head groups.
The ET9 is easy to install and operate. Programming and adjusting pattern setups are simple with convenient toggle switches. An accessible internal terminal strip facilitates wiring of input signal and power output options. All circuits are optically isolated for electrical noise immunity.
A complete pattern control package consists of the ET9 and one or two photo eye sensors. For increased pattern placement accuracy, a DC Driver or HD2a Head Driver should be included.
