 All Electric Handgun and Hose Assembly - The L1 handgun is used to extrude beads or dots of hotmelt adhesive for a wide variety of manual packaging and product assembly applications. Attached to a heated supply hose, the L1 is specifically designed to fit Slautterback melt units to form a complete manual hotmelt applicator system.
The hose is comprised of a Teflon ® core covered with a stainless steel braid. Hoses are heated with a spiral wrapped heating element and insulated for cool touch operation. The exterior is covered wit a heavy duty, woven polyester fiber sleeve and is terminated with a swivel connector for easy installation on standard and reverse models. The rugged, lightweight handgun is separately heated and electrically connected to the hose with no external cord or connector. Adhesive is applied by pulling a trigger which allows pressurized adhesive to flow through a nozzle. When the trigger is released, adhesive flow instantly stops without dripping or drooling.
The L1 is equipped with a single orifice 0.050" (1.3mm) diameter nozzle. A wide variety of other nozzles are also available to meet the requirements of specific applications. The L1 is ideal for sealing cartons and boxes, as well as various woodworking applications. Other assembly operations include bonding items to corrugated, foam, metal, fabric, carpet, plastic, glass and most other materials.
